Full-Time, On-site

Job Summary:

This Commercial Garage Door Technician will grow our commercial division in North Texas. As the Commercial Garage Door Technician, you will provide amazing customer service by installing, repairing, and maintenance of various commercial garage doors. Previous experience supporting commercial customers with garage repair preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair a variety of commercial doors using the correct tools and equipment.
  • Diagnose and conduct routine repair door-related issues.
  • Install and configure door hardware, such as locks, handles, closers, and access control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues and communicate solutions to the customer.
  • Ensure all doors meet safety and building code requirements.
  • Ability to deliver amazing customer service.
  • Ability to problem solve, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment of all shapes and sizes.
  • Ability to repair industrial facilities, including doors, loading docks, and dock-levelers.
  • OEM Certification is preferred, but not required

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in the commercial door service industry is preferred.
  • 1+ years of customer service/interaction experience Preferred
  • Skilled understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, or wiring
  • 1+ years using power tools and hand tools in a professional setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Organized, with a strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with workflow within a construction job site or similar environment

Work Behavior:

  • Must be able to lift and move items of 75 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
  • Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently for extended periods
  • Must be able to work in cramped or high places such as attics, ladders, and tunnels
  • Must be able to carry heavy items up and down stairs
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, rain, snow, or sleet
  • Must have mental skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and a technical vocabulary to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
  • Must be willing to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical working hours are 40+ hours/week
